Infineon profit slips, revenue gets dollar boost

German chip maker Infineon Technologies AG on Thursday reported a decline in third-quarter earnings due to expenses, but revenue increased on the year driven by a strong dollar and double-digit growth in all its segments. Net profit for the quarter fell to 109 million euros from EUR143 million a year earlier.
