International consumer groups say new GDPR consent forms obscure extent of data sharing

(Telecompaper) The Norwegian Consumer Council, alongside other international consumer and privacy groups, has issued a report called 'Deceived by Design', and asked for their concerns to be discussed by the European Data Protection Board. The Norwegian body, Consumers International, Privacy International, the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) and ANEC, say large internet companies are manipulating the public into sharing personal details while giving the illusion of control.
