Laser demonstrations at LIA's Medical Laser Safety Officer (MLSO) training courses provide students with first-hand experience with lasers in operating room. Made possible via partnership with surgical equipment provider Universal Hospital Services (UHS) Surgical Services, this improvement upon Advanced MLSO course involves hands-on skills validation training: suiting up and firing laser in tissue (meat and potatoes) and talking about laser systems and different delivery systems.
