Landfill seeks well permit to dispose of landfill fluids

An application to house a non-hazardous fluid disposal well has been submitted to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality by a subsidiary company of American Waste, which owns the Wexford County Landfill. Cedar Creek Township Clerk Valerie Johnson said the municipality received a letter from Wexford Water Technologies, LLC, informing it of the application to drill/deepen/convert and operate a mineral well for non-hazardous fluid disposal that was submitted to the MDEQ.
