Data released this week by CoreLogic shows sales of new and existing houses and condominiums sold in the Bay Area in January 2016 down 38.3 percent month over month from December 2015. Typically sales decrease between December and January in the Bay Area, and the average change between those two months since 1988 is a decline of 28.6 percent.
