US - The Western Governors’ Species Conservation and Endangered Species Act Initiative was launched by WGA Chairman and Wyoming Governor Matt Mead to create a mechanism for states and stakeholders to share best practices in species management, to promote the role of states in species conservation and to explore options for improving the efficacy of the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
