India Times: On Monday, Uttar Pradesh set out to make a new world record by attempting to plant 50 million trees in 24 hours. State officials distributed millions of saplings to people across the state in hopes to increase its forest cover, and enter the Guinness World Records for planting the maximum number of trees in a day.
