India Times: On Monday, Uttar Pradesh set out to make a new world record by attempting to plant 50 million trees in 24 hours. State officials distributed millions of saplings to people across the state in hopes to increase its forest cover, and enter the Guinness World Records for planting the maximum number of trees in a day. AP The current record stands at 847,275 which was set in Pakistan in 2013, reports The Associated Press. Nearly 800,000 people assumed the responsibility to make their state greener....
