Meijer fined $2 million over resale of 12 recalled products in 2011

Midwest retailer Meijer Inc. has agreed to pay a $2 million fine as part of a settlement with U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission over the resale of 12 recalled consumer products. The Walker-based retail giant distributed recalled products, several of which were children's toys, through a system Meijer operated with a third party contractor, federal agency said in a statement announcing the fine.
