On behalf of its Distribution Automation (DA) Section, NEMA will release white paper focusing on importance of incorporating DA into grid, its cost justifications, and recommended call to action so benefits of DA equipment and systems can be fully utilized. "Distribution Automation and the Modernized Grid," according to G&W Electric Company's Pat Avery, aims to promote DA as key smart grid component that provides reliability, resiliency, flexibility, and agility to the electrical grid.
