The Sterling Police Department's newest officer, Jim Hunsicker, took the oath of office Tuesday in City Hall. Hunsicker, who was hired in August as a cadet and completed his training at Red Rocks Community College's law enforcement academy, comes to Sterling from the Denver area, where he worked for Thomson Reuters as a senior manager for business systems.
