LSE Space is looking for an Engineer mf fulfilling the task of Payload Operations Engineering for the Columbus Mission at ColCC on Oberpfaffenhofen. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Technical operations coordination between the mission operations service contract, the USOC service contract, and the support entities supporting operations to achieve integrated operations concepts Perform operations engineering activities for operations product generation and technical operations engineering work as required. Reviewassess and coordinate with USOC andor ColCC, and provide operational assessment reports as required Provide supportrepresent the mission operations service at various ESA internal boardspanels and review boards as well as Space Station programNASA or other IP boardsmeetings as required e.g. Crew time working group, Attitude working group, 7 Crew working group Support the USOC and Mission Operations contract management as necessary, e.g. by attending progress meetings, division meetings and team meetings. Provide operations engineering supportexpertise to projects in the CD phase, such as MPCCColKa Terminal and ALCS, with the goal to establish the operations concept in cooperation with the assigned USOC and the flight control team. Manage and coordinate the creationdevelopmentupdate of Service Level Agreements SLAs for the mission operations service in close coordination with the USOCs, Mission Operations Service, training service and engineering and ground segment service. Review and assess first time Experiment Science Requirements ESRs for operational feasibility and identification of new operational requirements. Define establish and manage the Big picture status reporting for all ESA hardware onboard the ISS with regards to the operational status e.g. rack payload operations status, anomalies, etc. Skills Experience University degree in mathematics, physics, informatics, computer science, aerospace engineering or equivalent A good knowledge of the International Space Station Program is required Capability to work in a team with other ESA organizations, e.g. Increment managers, Mission Operations manager, as well as with external partners Some knowledge of Payload Operations in Columbus and in other segments of the ISS Fluency in English is mandatory.
