"National Preparedness Month is geared towards building awareness and encouraging Americans to take steps to prepare for emergencies in their homes, schools, organizations, businesses and places of worship," City of Dallas Office of Emergency Management Director Rocky Vaz said. "The Preparedness Fair is a fun, interactive way for people to learn about disaster preparation and mitigation which can help save the lives of friends and family during an emergency situation."
