Qorvo reorganization could preserve hundreds of Hillsboro jobs

Wireless chipmaker Qorvo outlined a broad reorganization of its manufacturing sites this week and the new structure appears to cement Hillsboro's role as a major production site for the company - preserving hundreds of jobs whose future had been uncertain. The long-term future of Qorvo's specialized factory in Washington County has been in question since Hillsboro-based TriQuint Semiconductor announced plans to combine with a North Carolina rival, RF Micro Devices, early in 2014.
