Meijer Inc. is expecting to give out 30 percent more flu shots this year over last year when the Midwest retailer provided 103,000 flu shots to customers. That anticipated growth is a sign that more adults are seeing the value in getting inoculated against a sickness that kills 50,000 people in the United States annually.
