Targeting enterprise server and SSD markets, 12 Gbps SAS-3 Controller IP features SCSI SBC-2 End-to-End Protection (DIF); full duplex DMA supporting Scatter/Gather operation with flexible AMBA AXI interface; as well as narrow and wide port support. Multiple optimizations are available for maximizing IOPS in both Initiator and Target (SSD) applications. Also, IP contains Phy Control Layer which implements state machines required for SNW4 and 12 Gbps link training sequences.
