For our activities in ESOC, we are currently looking for a Software Developer. Task and Responsibilities The duties of this post will include Helpdesk tasks PFMS installation, incident handling, ensuring support to application maintenance, preparation and performance of the training Demo to users in ESOC Application maintenance o Installation and upgrade of COTS o Setup and configure the client PCs to optimize the running of the PFMS client o Periodically check that PFMS application is accessible through the network o Support to Document Management Collaborative Tool o Synchronization between PFMS DB instances across ESA sites o Maintenance on the DB table structure and data integrity constraints o DB performance tuning o Maintenance of DB security, DB activity monitoring and auditing o DB backuprestore policy management CreationManagement of scripts supporting DB backuprestore activity o Start incident management for any DB failure Documentation o Management of technical documentation o Tracking of the versions of any document under Sercos responsibility o Update of QMS for any documentation change with impact on it Interface to esap ESAs SAP o Export of utilisation data to esap o Import of utilisation data from esap o Support to Monthly Manpower and Facility Bookings. Requirements Essentials Essential for the position is the following Computer Science degree or equivalent experience Visual CC, MFC, Visual BasicVBA, Windows SDK and JAVA programming at least 2 to 3 years hands on experience In depth knowledge of Oracle Capability of developing Oracle applications using PLSQL this includes writing Packages and Stored procedures Capability of embedding Oracle PLSQL code within CC or VB code Good knowledge of MS Office Suite to include Access, Excel, Word Advance knowledge of developing MSAccess applications Good communication skills Strong interpersonal skills, selfmotivation and ability to work in a team The successful candidate must be capable of writing Administrator and User Manuals in English. Desirables The following is desirable SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence BI Able to migrate data from different systems Knowledge of Dynamic Web Programming Capable of setting up, administrating and tuning Oracle databases Knowledge of Windows 2008 Server administration Experience of release management.
