Spacecraft Operations Engineer Geostationary Satellite Systems

START ASAP Thorn SDS is a cocontractor currently providing spacecraft engineering services to EUMETSAT, the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites. We are searching for both junior and senior engineers to complement our team in Germany. These are great opportunities to develop and grow your career in a multinational environment under the guidance of industry experts. Candidates must be excellent communicators in English with a passion for the Space Industry. The responsibilities of the service include the routine and special operations of operational METEOSAT spacecraft, continuous monitoring of spacecraft performance and the operations preparation for the next generation of geostationary spacecraft, MTG. Experience of Spacecraft Operations or Spacecraft Operations Preparation, preferably for a Geostationary Earth Orbit GEO mission would be considered advantageous. The role will develop with the phases of the missions, so we are looking for engineers who can demonstrate initiative and flexibility in a fast paced environment. With experience of the full lifecycle of spacecraft flight procedures, you will have carried out procedure creation, validation and simulation. Familiarisation with the MTG and MSG satellite design and operations procedures as necessary. You will interface with other teams, so you must be a team player with an ability to communicate complex ideas in a concise way.
