Spirit Airlines loses bid for slots at Reagan; Q4 profits soar 110%

It's a good news, bad news day for Spirit Airlines , which said it lost a bid for takeoff and landing slots at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. The good news is that shares of the Miramar-based company have been flying high since its early-morning earnings release.
