The Milk Carton Kids, Joey Ryan and Kenneth Pattengale, began writing together for their first studio album in 2011. Since then, they've earned a Grammy nod for best folk album, won Duo/Group of the Year at the Americana Music Awards, performed on "Conan" on TBS and Garrison Keillor's "Prairie Home Companion," and made the cover of Acoustic Guitar Magazine.
