Steelmaker applauds US legislation

The CEO of United States Steel Corp. , Pittsburgh, says President Obama's singing of Trade Promotion Authority and Trade Adjustment Assistance legislation into law in late June will help protect steel industry jobs in the United States. "I commend President Obama for strengthening our trade enforcement laws by signing TPA and TAA," U.S. Steel president and CEO Mario Longhi says in a statement released to the media.
