TPG to offer free data service for 6 months at mobile network launch

(Telecompaper) Australia's TPG is trying the strategy of Indian operator Reliance Jio and offering customers six months of free service for the launch of its new mobile network. Customers will receive up to 1 GB of data per day at top speeds on the LTE network, after which the speed will be reduced to 1 Mbps for the remainder of the day.
