Training Event Preparation and Coordination

Overview In support of the main training tasks, the EAC Training Division performs a variety of training services and training support functions such as training administration, records keeping and reporting, provision and maintenance of an adequate training environment including facilities for training and operations, preparation and readiness of industrial instructor teams and the provision of uptodate training methods and technologies. Specifically, HSFAT shall ensure recordskeeping for Astronaut and Ground Personnel training and certification, providing reports to IPs with respect to training conducted at EAC for IP Astronauts and for training conducted at all locations for ESA Astronauts. Validation of certification of lesson and instructors as well as final certification of Astronauts shall be provided. Planning and scheduling of training activity shall also be coordinated and ensured, as well as coordination of training events. Specific task includes Support the organisation of the ESA Human Behaviour and Performance HBP and Space Analogue training course CAVES. Support the organisation of other complex training events, including outdoor ESA events like survival training, geological field trips, training events for special groups like Antarctic overwinters, and HBP or Instructor Training Course ITC training events. Support to the organisation of preparatory meetings, dry runs and Training Readiness Reviews, as well as debriefings for the a.m. training events. Preparation of minutes and followup of action items from preparation and conduct of the a.m. training events. Maintenance of course and project web pages related to those events as we as training courseware information. Support to the maintenance of social media associated to those training events and coordination of production of blog entries for the ESA event blogs Preparation of administrative material related to special training events according to the ESA training standards Support in the overall preparation, logistics for events, verification of events communications, preparation of materials and followup of purchases and agreements for the training events Your Profile Specific knowledge is required in the following areas Masters or University Degree from a recognized university or institution. At least 4 years of relevant working experience. Experience with the organisation of complex events. Strong organisation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure, including support of events on outdoor locations Strong computer skills as a user, including use of databases and preparation of documents and presentations Willingness to ensure excellence in the preparation and execution of training events with attention to details Willingness to adjust to the demands of challenging activities in a very multicultural and multidisciplinary team Languages fluency with English is required, the ability to speak Russian or Italian would be assets If you are interested, please send your Word format CV as well as a Cover Letter to Vanessa Lewis at careeropportunitiesrheagroup.com by the 17022014.
