U.S. Power Plant Emissions Reached 27-Year Low, Report Says

Yale Environment 360: Electric power plants in the U.S. emitted less carbon dioxide in April than they have in any month since April 1988 a 27-year low according to an analysis by the Energy Information Administration. The report said the electric power sector has made major strides in improving efficiency and lowering its carbon footprint, producing significantly more electricity while lowering CO2 emissions.
