US Q2 in brief: Christopher & Banks, Hudson's Bay, Lululemon

2015-07-30 18:29:00| Daily apparel & textile news and comment - from just-style.com

Second-quarter earnings for the retail sector as a whole are forecast to be lower than the prior month, despite easy year-on-year comparisons. Christopher & Banks swung to a loss, Hudson's Bay was back in the black, while Lululemon Athletica lifted its full-year guidance despite a fall in profit. Men's Wearhouse grew its net income more than threefold, Pacific Sunwear posted a double-digit increase in profit, thanks to a non-cash gain, and Belk saw its earnings more than halve due to higher expenses.
