In the most recent third-quarter filings from US apparel and footwear brands and retailers, Abercrombie & Fitch revealed a "disastrous" quarter as sales fell and earnings plummeted 80%. Foot Locker, meanwhile, saw growth thanks to implementation of a group strategy, and Destination XL managed to narrow its losses. Elsewhere, L Brands booked a mixed third-quarter as earnings fell but sales climbed, while The Children's Place delivered "outstanding" results and upped its full-year guidance.
