BusinessGreen: New vehicles sold in the US reached record levels of fuel economy last year, saving motorists millions at the pump, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said yesterday. Model year 2013 vehicles achieved an average of 24.1 miles per gallon (mpg), marking a 0.5 mpg improvement on the previous year.
