The number of customers shopping for an electric supplier dropped significantly in Western Pennsylvania during March and April, the Public Utility Commission said Wednesday. During that time, nearly 40,000 customers with Duquesne Light, West Penn Power and Penn Power left the competitive market for their default utility.
