As snowflakes fell against the backdrop of the sunset on a brisk 2-degree Wisconsin evening, the teacher's lounge at Shady Lane Elementary School was filled with warmth. About 40 girl scouts ranging from second through sixth grade came together in an admittedly loud and energy-filled room to put together something special for Wisconsin veterans to receive on Valentine's Day.
