Barfoot & Thompson managing director Peter Thompson says this was our busiest December in the last 10 years with demand never being higher, or choice lower Auckland's average house sale price rose to a new record in December as sales volumes for the month surged to a 12-year high amid tight supply, according to the city's largest real estate agency. House sales climbed 28.5 percent to 1,050 in December from the year earlier month, their highest level for the typically shorter December trading month since 2002, according to Auckland real estate agency Barfoot & Thompson.

Atlantic Coast Pipeline meetings get underway amid growing landowner resistance

The energy companies planning to build a 550 mile-long natural gas pipeline from West Virginia through Virginia and eastern North Carolina are launching a series of public meetings this week to discuss the project while hundreds of landowners along the route are refusing to grant surveyors access to their land. In September, Dominion Resources of Virginia, Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas of North Carolina, and natural gas distributor AGL Resources of Atlanta announced they were forming a joint venture to build and own the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline to transport gas from the Marcellus and Utica shale basins of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

The sugar factory in Kom Ombo Aswan began receiving the 2015 sugar cane crops last week. Meanwhile, the remaining factories belonging to the Sugar and Integrated Industries Company (SIIC) in Edfu, Qoos, Armant, Deshna, Gerga, Nagaa Hamady, Abo Qorqas and Hawamdeya are expected to begin importing crops sequentially during January.
