Railroad rerouting removes Gary runway obstacle

One of the last obstacles to an expansion of Gary/Chicago International Airport has been removed.The Times reports work crews began ripping up a section of Canadian National Railway tracks Monday and connecting remaining tracks to a new line that loops around the projected runway expansion. By Tuesday night, Canadian National trains should be riding on new tracks that take them around the airport.

Signed contracts to buy homes up 0.3 per cent last month; mortgage financing still an obstacle
