Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Ground Segment Systems Architecture Specifications Requirements, functions, systems, interfaces Support to Programmes Activities Requirements Analyses, Requirements Specification, Architecture development and Reviews Refine the processes and working practices established for the application of the Model Based SE and the use of CORE Requirements Development and traceability Support the administration, configuration, deployment and use of CORE licenses Performance of trade studies for assessing effectiveness, risk, cost and planning. TASKS The Engineer will perform system engineering activities such as Requirements engineering, which consists in requirement analysis and validation, requirement allocation, and requirements maintenance Functional analysis and architecture design applying system modelling engineering methods and techniques Subsegment components specification Interface and data structures and flows definition Design which results in an architecture, described by its complete functional, physical and software characteristics System analysis, which is performed for the purpose of resolving requirements conflicts, decomposing and allocating requirements, assessing system effectiveness Performance of trade studies for assessing effectiveness, risk, cost and planning. PROFILE The Engineer shall have the following qualifications and experience A university degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline Experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision Extensive experience in the analysis of systems applications and modelling Experience in the field of systems engineering and architectural design minimum 5 years Experience in Space and ground System engineering processes, and System and Software lifecycles and standards Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering methods, techniques and tools Experience in the use of modelling and design tools in support of architectural design activities e.g. CORE Experience with definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS. Due to the nature of the position, the Engineer shall have good interpersonal skills and proactive attitude with strong ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment. The working language for the position is English and therefore the Engineer must be able to work effectively in this language, together with good communication skills.
