We are constantly looking to grow and develop the team and have many opportunities for candidates looking to further their careers or experience within this business. We are particularly interested in speaking to ambitious individuals, committed to learning and developing their skills in a highly technical environment. The key candidate for this position shall have a University degree in the domain of engineering, science or equivalent along with a minimum of 5 years experience in engineering of onground data processing elements, including requirements specification, architecture and detailed design, definition of interfaces and testing concepts for spaceborn observing systems as imaging andor sounding instruments. Candidates must also have demonstrated ability to perform analysis of a system combined space and ground segment top down and to perform syntheses. Experience in the following areas would be considered to be advantageous Experience in verifying and validating complex realtime data processing systems for spaceborn observing systems as imaging andor sounding instruments. Experience in specification, development andor procurement of instrument test data sets and processor prototypes for spaceborn observing systems as imaging andor sounding instruments Experience in specification of operational products for earth observation missions. All applicants shall have the capability to write accurate and constant technical documentation. The official language for this position is English, therefore, candidates must be able to work effectively in this language. A knowledge of French would be considered to be advantageous. Thorn offers a complete bespoke relocation support package for any Successful European candidates living outside of Germany.
