NEMA announced that ANSI Accredited Standards Committee C78 reaffirmed ANSI C78.1408-2004 American National Standard for Electric Lamps—CBA Projection Lamp. This standard provides information on the description, ratings, restrictions, physical characteristics, dimensions, life, illumination, seal temperature, and operating temperature of a lamp that has been designated as a CBA projection lamp.

Changing the tax mix by increasing the goods and services tax while reducing personal and corporate tax rates would "undoubtedly" stimulate the economy, says the boss of the nation's largest bank. Calling for action on Australia's big policy challenges, Commonwealth Bank of Australia chief executive Ian Narev said the bank supports the Business Council of Australia's view on tax policy, "which is we need to have a debate where everything is on the table [to] work out a tax policy that is good for the country in the long term".

CBA joins ANZ in raising investor interest rates by 0.27 percentage points

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia will increase interest rates for housing investors by 0.27 percentage points, joining ANZ Banking Group in pushing up credit costs to slow its growth in lending to landlords. The country's biggest bank on Friday said its standard variable interest rate for investor loans would rise to 5.72 per cent and fixed rates for property investors would also rise.
