Suntory is suing its Japanese rival Asahi and calling for a court to suspend sales and production over its non-alcohol beer-flavoured drinks, claiming it infringes their trademark. A lawsuit was filed against Asahi Breweries Limited on Tuesday with Suntory accusing the brewer of infringing on one of its own patents for non-alcoholic beer-flavoured drinks, as reported by the Japan Times.

Swedish Square Rival iZettle Pushes Free Card Readers to Europe

Payments startup iZettle AB plans to offer free credit-card readers for phones and tablets to rattle competitors and spur some of the 20 million European small businesses that still don't take plastic to sign up to its service. A Swedish rival to Jack Dorsey's San Francisco-based Square Inc., iZettle expects to at least double its current annual carried transaction rate of 2 billion euros within 12 months, Jacob de Geer, founder and chief executive officer of the four-year-old company, said in an interview at his Stockholm headquarters.
