Lynnwood's wayward creek: Scriber Creek often floods; city looks for way to control it

A water level marker is visible on the edge of Scriber Creek near the Great Floors parking lot on Oct. 2. An underground bend in the stream through a culvert makes it a particularly hazardous area for flooding during storms. Jared Bond, an environmental and surface water supervisor with the city of Lynnwood, points out features of Scriber Creek that make it susceptible to flooding near the Casa Del Rey Condominiums.
