During National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) 2015 Manufacturing Summit, 12 individuals from 8 Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) member companies and staff joined with >400 other U.S. manufacturers to urge Congress to pass Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) reform. ASC President Matthew E. Croson praised opportunity for members to meet with elected representatives and talk about issues of importance as well as see action taken on important legislation regarding chemical industry.

ASC congratulates Senate Environment and Public Works Committee for passage of the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (S.697). Approval of this bipartisan reform to the broken Toxic Substances Control Act is a major step forward in getting EPA to evaluate thousands of chemicals that have not been addressed since law’s passage in 1976. ASC will continue to reach out to other Senate offices to build support for full Senate vote later this year.
