Cathay Pacific Airways launches new freighter service between Kolkata-Hong Kong

Cathay Pacific Airways launched a new twice-weekly freighter service between Hong Kong and Kolkata on Wednesday, with a ceremony at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport tonight to mark the inauguration of the new route. Cathay Pacific will be the only airline offering a scheduled non-stop freighter services between Kolkata and Hong Kong.

Qantas Airways, Virgin Australia fares rise as capacity war ends

Domestic airfares have risen by an average of 3 per cent since the end of a damaging capacity war between Qantas Airways and Virgin Australia Holdings as both airlines try to keep the number of seats more in line with demand. Qantas and Virgin both reported a 3 per cent rise in domestic yields, or returns on fares, in their mainline divisions between June and December, when capacity didn't rise following three years of adding seats ahead of demand to boost their appeal to corporate travellers.

South African Airways Investigates Allegations Against Suspended CEO
