Kirkland Has The World's Greenest Road

A short street in Kirkland has earned the honor of being the greenest road in the world -- at least by one measure. Earlier this month, Northeast 120th Street Extension earned the highest rating in the history of The Greenroads Foundation, scoring 46 out of 118 possible points.

More voices added to lawsuit against Kirkland auto dealer

About a dozen former employees and customers of a local auto dealership group have added their voices to a pair of 2014 lawsuits alleging wage theft and discrimination against the business. The lawsuits, filed in October 2014, target Toyota of Kirkland, which is one of 12 dealerships in the O'Brien Auto Group, which includes businesses from Tacoma to Marysville.

Kirkland Police arrest man after brief highway pursuit out of Bellevue | Breaking News

With lights flashing, a group of police cars converged at the Napa Auto Parts store in the 11600 block of Slater Avenue Northeast in Kirkland at about 11 a.m. today and officers took a man into custody. According to Bellevue Police Department officer Seth Tyler, the man, who was later discovered had an outstanding warrant for violation of his probation, had fled police in connection with an earlier shoplifting complaint from the Whole Foods Market at 116th Avenue Northeast.
