Jan 29 AG Barr, the maker of Irn-Bru and Rubicon fizzy drinks, said it expected fourth-quarter revenue growth in excess of 2.5 percent, after a robust performance in the Christmas period. The Cumbernauld, Scotland-based soft drinks maker said its trading strategy and brand execution helped it offset a challenging and highly competitive UK market.

Facebook revenue jumps 52% in Q4

(Telecompaper) Facebook reported fourth-quarter revenues up 52 percent year-on-year to USD 5.84 billion, led by continued strong growth in mobile advertising. Mobile accounted for 80 percent of ad revenue in the quarter, up from 69 percent a year earlier. The company generated a net profit of USD 2.27 billion or USD 0.79 per share, up from USD 1.52 billion or USD 0.54 per share a year earlier. After free cash flow of USD 2.14 billion in the quarter, Facebook ended 2015 with USD 18.43 billion in total cash.

Jays help Rogers Q4 revenue, but finally tally below estimates

A playoff run by the Toronto Blue Jays helped boost revenue for Rogers in the fourth quarter, but that was offset by continued soft ad sales for conventional TV and print publications, the company said Wednesday. Rogers Communications Inc., one of Canada's largest telecom, internet and media companies, also saw an 8% increase in operating expenses.
