Tencent accelerates sales growth to 52% in Q2

(Telecompaper) Chinese internet services provider Tencent reported revenues in the second quarter up 52 percent year-on-year to CNY 35.691 billion (USD 5.382 billion), accelerating growth from an annual rate of 43 percent in Q1. Operating profit was CNY 14.329 billion, an increase of 43 percent year-on-year, while the operating margin fell to 40 percent from 43 percent a year ago. Net profit rose 47 percent to CNY 10.737 billion.
