The Ohio Department of Agriculture says more than 100 historic farms have been added to the state's list during 2015, bringing the total to about 1,200. The director of the agriculture department said in a recent statement that these farms, which must be owned by the same family for at least 100 years, are the foundation for Ohio's vital agriculture industry.
