(Telecompaper) Telecom operators in the US are continuing their fight against the Federal Communications Commission's Open Internet Order, setting rules on net neutrality. On 27 July, the DC Circuit of the US Court of Appeals rejected their petition for a review of the order, saying the FCC acted with the appropriate authority in its decision to reclassify broadband as a telecom service and subject it to stricter regulations. In response, the operators have filed for an en banc rehearing of the court's decision, the FCC said.
Berec net neutrality consultation gets half mln responses

(Telecompaper) The public consultation by EU telecom regulator Berec on its draft guidelines for enforcing the net neutrality regulations received almost half a million responses, Berec announced. Berec said it is working on processing the responses in order to incorporate the feedback in its final proposal, which should be submitted to the regulator's board on 25 August for a vote. Berec will organise a press conference in Brussels on 30 August to present the final guidelines.
