74.3 million pay TV subscribers for Latin America in Q2 2017

According to Dataxis, the Pay TV market in Latin America reached 74.3 million subscribers in the second quarter of 2017, ended almost unchanged from the previous quarter. Although the market remained stable, America Movil and AT&T (DIRECTV), the two main groups lost subscribers.

Netflix adds 5.3 million subscribers in Q3, sales up 30%

(Telecompaper) Netflix added a net 5.30 million new streaming subscribers in the third quarter, including 4.45 million outside the US. This gives the company a total 109.2 million customers, of which around half (56.5 million) at its international operations. Netflix's sales rose 30 percent to USD 2.98 billion in the quarter, giving an ARPU up 7.2 percent to USD 9.85.
