Space Applications Business Analyst Are you looking for a new challenge in one of the fastestgrowing hightech markets? The holder of this post will provide support to the European Space Agencys Integrated Application Programme IAP to promote the development of new spacebased services. Responsibilities Focus on two or three market sectors or technology trends that have major potential for new spacebased applications e.g. renewable energy, electricity networks, smart cities, machinetomachine communications, oceanography and marine management Build relationships with both user communities and service industries within the agreed target sectors, bringing them together to identify and develop new spacebased services and applications that meet real, largescale needs Identify potential sources of thirdparty funding for projects in these target sectors Contribute to an analysis of the economic impact of specific IAP projects Cooperate with the European network of IAP Ambassadors on matters relating to business development, marketing and awarenessraising Cooperate with the Feasibility Studies and Demonstration Project teams in ESTEC and Harwell. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Proven track record in business support services especially for hightech industries, startups and ideally applications development Computer literate and conversant with ICT tools such MS Office, Web environment, ERP Solid background in finance andor business administration, ideally with experience in financing and organising new business ventures and the use of PFIPPP structures Preferably some familiarity with the downstream space sector i.e. the provision of services and applications based on space systems and with relevant space technologies i.e. satellite communications, navigation and earth observation Sensitive to multicultural and political issues Cooperative, positive and generally easy to get along with Mastery of the English language is a requirement business fluency in French andor another major European language would be an advantage. Business and Process Analyst Project Controller

For our activities in ESTEC, we are currently looking for a Business and Process Analyst Programme Project Controller. Main responsibilities The main responsibility you will have in this role is to provide process and business analysis support to the Budget Service within ESTEC. Specific tasks will be Support process mapping and integration of ESA wide resource processes Support collection and consolidation of schedule and resource data cost, workforce, for activities and extract relevant data from corporate tools Monitor progress of activities by extracting data from esap and other corporate systems as applicable, defining standard reports and export templates needed for data analysis and reporting Perform data analysis and produce associated reports as required by management Support the definition, development, implementation and maintenance of tools and databases including improvement to existing tools to ensure efficient execution of the related tasks Provide support to the definition and development of user requirements for corporate tools and to the testing of the tools Interface with directorate focal points and other stakeholders and services as needed for the execution of the above tasks. You may also have the following general Programme Project Controlling tasks and responsibilities Support to the planning, preparation, execution and followup of projects programmes activities in terms of schedule, related procurement actions, costs including preparation of CaC as relevant, manpower including support, etc. Support to programme project level risk management Maintaining up to date the related data, performing data analysis, identifying deviations w.r.t. plans targets and production of associated reports to the responsible management and to the concerned customers when relevant. Ideal candidate Requirements As successful applicant you should bring a Master in Engineering or equivalent or MBA or equivalent University degree from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, with at least 4 years of relevant experience in business process analysis or data analytics. Further requirements as follows in order of relevance Excellent MS Excel and Access skills along with good overall working knowledge of MS Office Excellent analytical ability, good planning and organisation skills Good interpersonal and communication skills. Reliability, rigor and initiative in the execution of the assigned work Experience as user of SAP and in particular ECC and SRM modules and familiarity with relevant ESA corporate applications e.g. esap Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken, knowledge of another official ESA language is an asset Experience in controlling and or management of activities and resources in the aerospace industry would be an advantage. For some tasks knowledge of Finance Accounting may be of use Ability to rapidly understand and adapt to ESA specific context and environment including ESA corporate IT applications. Heshe is directly responsible for the design, analysis and implementation of IT solutions within the SES group and affiliated companies, as well as for IT project support within the organisation and customer related projects.
