CFD Meshing Software generates layers of hexahedral cells.

2014-08-07 14:30:34| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

In Pointwise v17.2 R2, near-wall and near-wake hex layer generation capability has been added to T-Rex (anisotropic tetrahedral extrusion). Technique extrudes stacks of anisotropic tetrahedra off surface mesh, and post-processing step combines stacks of tetrahedra into either prisms or hexahedra. Other features include native interfaces to Edge and LAURA CFD codes, and updated native CAD format interfaces. This story is related to the following:Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Software |

CFD Meshing Software offers hybrid hex-tet meshing capabilities.

2014-04-25 14:32:14| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

Pointwise v17.2 computational fluid dynamics (CFD) meshing software generates structured, unstructured, and hybrid meshes; interfaces with CFD solvers; and has scripting language, Glyph, that can automate CFD meshing. Extension of T-Rex hybrid meshing technique, included, lets users generate near-wall layers of hexahedral cells. Along with CGNS, FUN3D, ANSYS Gambit, STAR-CD, and SC/Tetra compatibility, features include support for OpenSUSE, Ubuntu, and CentOS Linux distributions. CFD Meshing Software operates with grid generator.

2013-10-11 14:30:41| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

Compatible with GridPro grid generator, Pointwise v17.1 R4 can import structured volume grids from GridPro's file format so they can be integrated into Pointwise hybrid mesh or otherwise modified. Program also exports both structured and unstructured surface meshes to GridPro for use as geometry on which GridPro can generate grid. Version 17.1 R4 additionally includes defect corrections, native interface to TAU CFD solver, C++ API for writing plug-ins, and support for OpenFOAM cell sets.
