UPDATE 1-Apple supplier Skyworks forecasts revenue above estimates

Radio frequency chip supplier Skyworks Solutions Inc forecast better-than-expected revenue in the current quarter, helped by increased demand from smartphone makers, particularly Apple Inc. Apple sold 10 million of its latest iPhones in the first weekend after the new, larger phone models went on sale in 10 countries on Sept. 19. The devices will be available in more than 115 countries by the end of the year.

Harsco (HSC) Posts Quarterly Earnings, Beats Estimates By $0.03 EPS

Harsco released its earnings data on Thursday. The company reported $0.32 EPS for the quarter, beating the Thomson Reuters consensus estimate of $0.29 by $0.03, Analyst Ratings Network.com reports.

Japan's Mitsui, Marubeni keep FY earnings forecasts, cut metal estimates

Japanese trading houses Mitsui & Co and Marubeni Corp stuck on Thursday to their full-year net profit estimates but cut the forecasts for their metals business on a slump in iron ore and coal prices. They also reported a rise in net profit for the April-September period, with Marubeni, the third-biggest trading house by sales, posting a record profit as the weak metal performance was offset by growth in other businesses.

BCE's Q3 adjusted profit beats estimates, Bell wireless leads revenue growth

BCE Inc. increased its net income to $600 million or 77 cents per share in the third quarter, both up about 75 per cent from the same time last year when the Montreal-based company booked a special item related to its takeover of Astral Media. Excluding that and other items, BCE's adjusted net income increased by 11 per cent from a year ago to $648 million or 83 cents per share - five cents above analyst expectations of 77 cents per share.
