Memphis, FedEx team up to donate water to Flint

Memphis' water utility company, FedEx and city government are donating 12,000 bottles of water to residents of Flint, Michigan, where drinking water has been contaminated by lead. City officials said Tuesday that the water, which is bottled in Memphis, will be sent by FedEx to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, a designated collection site.

Whole Foods to Donate Portion of Sales to Food Bank Wednesday

Burlington and Gloucester county auto dealerships donate to The Valerie Fund

The Valerie Fund is thankful for the $1.3 Million donated over the past two years by New Jersey auto dealerships. In 2015, 180 dealerships have donated nearly $550,000 as part of the New Jersey Auto Retailers Unite campaign, a one-of- a-kind partnership between The Valerie Fund and franchised auto retailers.

Whole Foods to donate 5% of sales Wednesday to Operation Hope

Whole Foods Market in Fairfield plans to donate 5 percent of purchases on Wednesday to Operation Hope, the nonprofit agency that addresses local issues of homelessness and hunger. The supermarket designates four days throughout the year when 5 percent of the store's net sales are donated to a local nonprofit whose mission is "aligned with Whole Foods Market's commitment to health and community-related causes," according to publicity for the event.

Lemonis to Donate up to $300,000 to Marquette

Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Camping World Inc. and the star of the CNBC show "The Profit," says he will donate up to $300,000 to Marquette University as part of a $1 million university giving challenge that will begin on Jan. 5 and run through March 12. As reported by Milwaukee Business News , Lemonis is a 1995 Marquette University alumnus of the Helen Way Klingler College of Arts and Sciences. "Many people have graduated from Marquette and their experiences attending the university have been a real blessing in their lives," Lemonis said.
