Dish sues NBC over threatened black-out

(Telecompaper) Dish has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against NBC to address NBC's public statements against Dish. NBC launched a messaging campaign warning Dish customers of a black out of its channels unless a new carriage deal is reached by 20 March. Dish said its goal is to reach a mutual beneficial deal with NBC after successfully negotiating agreements representing numerous networks in recent months. The company said it expects to file for arbitration, which would prevent NBC from blacking out Dish customers.
