Polyester Fiber Prices in China, India and Pakistan (Weekly Report)

Polyester fiber prices were not far from bottoming out at the end of last week, before the start of national holidays in China. With crude oil prices now soaring and paraxylene surging, PTA prices have begun recovering. Polyester fiber processors could have to digest or pass a rise of more than 20% in their material costs since last June, if prices would eventually stabilize after holidays. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) on the domestic markets in China, India, and Pakistan. Price trends could change after China will have returned from its holidays in the next week.
