INTL FCStone eased concerns over weather setbacks to the European Union wheat crop, saying that a heatwave in France had come too late to dent yields, while rains had allowed some stabilisation of the dryness-pressed German crop. The broker, after a survey of clients, and a seven-week tour around Europe, pegged the bloc's soft wheat harvest - the world's biggest - at 140.7m tonnes.
